Cheap eats, cold beer and 20 girls to a man!
After spending all night at the gogo bars what is a guy to do during the day to pass time? Well you can go on many of the tours around and outside of Bangkok of course but more often then not you'll want to head down to the Beer Garden located at Sukhumvit Soi 7. Cheap eats for lunch and dinner (about $5.00 - $8.00 U.S.) and that includes a cold beer! I'd have lunch at Subway fast food joint every day then head down to the open air Beer Garden for a cold beer. I was there during the off season which means there are 20 girls in the bar to every guy!!
I'd chat with some and buy some a drink. These are strictly freelancers. Average age between 25 - 30 years old. Some are ladies that have other jobs that work the bar part time. Some are more full time and girls you see at lunch can also be found there during dinner at then again at the Thermae Coffee House later in the evening. I had some fun conversations as most of these girls speak English fairly well. Although I declined their offer for a more private setting. These girls will go with you for as little as 1,000 Baht (about $27 U.S. when I was there). Yeah, cheap but you get what you pay for and maybe more as the health status of these ladies should be considered highly questionable. Guys with stories of being ripped off often have fallen to the temptation of one of these ladies. They don't work for the bar at all. Strictly freelance so if they disappear with your wallet and passport you've been screwed in more ways than one!
Don't even think about a good time with these ladies without the raincoat guys! But my suggestion is why bother with these ladies at all when once it gets dark you can head down to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy and find a 20 year old hottie where you get to see what you're getting as she dances naked in front of you!!! Plus be aware that some of the girls that hang out around the sidewalk outside the Subway fast food place as well as the Beer Garden are ladyboys! So if that's not your thing you'd be best to keep it to friendly talk but not take a walk with any of these ladies back to a hotel.
