Thai Airports Authority Agree On Plan To Raise Departure Tax 100 Baht..

From the Bangkok Post is a story about the Airport authorities in Thailand agreeing to the need to raise the departure tax 100 Baht. The plan still needs approval.

Suvarnabhumi airport is served by 107 international airlines. The airport connects Bangkok with more than 150 cities around the world.

The top five nationalities of tourists arriving through Suvarnabhumi are Chinese, Japanese, Indian, South Korean and Russian.

Commentary: It’s no wonder many gogo bars and members clubs cater exclusively to an Asian clientele when 3 of the top 5 nationalities that visit Thailand are from China, Japan and South Korea. If I owned a bar in Bangkok I’d do the same thing.
