Bangkok Odd News: What a Great Idea!

Did you read the story in the Bangkok Post of the monk in Bangkok that’s leading one of the protest groups? Apparently he put down a 4,200 Baht deposit for 10 rooms at the SC Park Hotel to reserve them for the angry rice farmers headed to Bangkok. But when the monk got to the hotel they refused to let the rooms be used for protesters. The monk demanded 120,000 Baht be paid to cover fuel costs for the farmers.

Guess what? The hotel paid it! Then to top it off the monk demanded his 4,200 Baht deposit be refunded! A Thai police officer that was dispatched paid the monk the 4,200 Baht himself!
Commentary: What a great idea guys! If you’re headed to Bangkok in the next 30 days just show up at your hotel and tell them you’re a protester. When the hotel refuses to give you a room just demand 120,000 Baht! That should cover a good bit of your entertainment in Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy! Why didn’t I think of this? Lol….
