Pattaya’s After Hours Club Scene..

For anyone that’s followed my blog, Facebook or read my e-books than you know I’m all about my pursuit for entertainment especially after hours when I’m in Bangkok and Pattaya. I spent 5 nights in Pattaya during Songkran (remind me not to do that again) and I hit several after hours clubs while I was there.

Club 808 on Walking Street above the Candy Shop. I stopped by Club 808 to say hello to DJ Andy one night. Love the music you were playing Andy. The club looks great. Sound system is great. Lasers are great. A nice big dance floor. The lighting is the best of the clubs which means I can see girls across the room to tell if they’re a beauty or a beast. Cute coyote girls. But despite all of this the club has yet to find a following. I do have some advice though. Management needs to get their act together. For 3 or more nights the escalator wasn’t working. Let me say that tourists are not going to walk up a broken escalator to a new club guys. Not happening. The club was empty. Downstairs there are some signs but no welcome staff? WTF? Get those coyote girls working downstairs to get guys up to the club!!! Without a welcome staff and the competition on Walking Street Club 808 just looks like a balcony for the Candy Shop.  Management has to work a damn bit harder to get people up to a 2nd floor club that’s new and stay at it every day. No exceptions. No excuses. Get girls and guys up to the club and you can make it a success but never stop selling it. Clubs like Insomnia / ibar with ground floor access gives those types of clubs an edge. Second floor access clubs have to sell it twice as hard every day! But overall I give Club 808 a good chance at success in part due to the great music and the excellent location. But they’ve got to get the girls in the club and if they do then the guys will follow… Best wishes for success guys!

Insomnia / Ibar which packs in a crowd every night. More of a lounge club and the lighting is low so what you think is a Thai girl in her mid 20’s typically turns out to be a Thai girl in her mid 30’s. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Best time to go is about 4:30 a.m. after the crowd has thinned out. It’s easier to move around to look for freelancers on the prowl.

Lucifiers Disco has got to be by far the darkest of all the clubs I’ve visited. Because of that I say pass on by unless you want to wake up next to a girl that looks like shit in the morning.

Mixx Disco down by Bali Hai Pier was 98% packed with Russians so I turned around and walked out. There are multiple clubs in the area that creates a draw like a shopping mall.

Pier Disco has some hot coyotes but overall it just doesn’t do it for me for some reason even though the club looks good inside.

Pulse is a new club and looks good but has yet to find a crowd. It was dead.

Casino Club draws a small late night crowd and goes until 7:30 a.m. Be warned that several of the girls that show up late night are ladyboys. The coyotes will do their best to get you to buy 150 Baht tequila shots with a hint that they might go home with you. They won’t. Don’t fall for it. It’s the kind of place where it’s better to bring a girl with you than to just go solo hoping to meet a girl. I also got the impression more than once that a couple of girls were working with their Thai pimp that was sitting nearby keeping a watchful eye. Something that just didn’t seem quite right to me when I was there so I steered clear. Be careful guys and keep your wits about you and you can still party until the sun comes up in the Casino Club. I did a couple of times. If I can do it then you can too!
